1. General
Dark Portal (later "Community") is a collection of Web pages at address http://DarkPortal.net/. This contract of terms of use is valid between the Dark Portal (later "Community Provider") and the user of the Community (later "User").
When registering to the Community, the User accepts these Terms of Use and binds oneself to adhere to them. If the User does not comply to these Terms, the Community Provider has the right to remove all information pertaining to the User from the Community. The Community Provider has the right to change and add to these Terms without a distinct notification.
2. User Rights and Obligations
The identifying information the User have given the Community shall be up-to-date and truthful. While using the Community, the User shall adhere to good manners, the Finnish Law and other applicable regulations.
The User shall not use the Community to save, distribute, send or supply materials that break the Law or good manners, or are of insulting nature. Furthermore, the User shall not use the Community against the Law or good manners. In addition, the User shall not use the Community to promote matters that are against the Law or good manners.
The User shall not copy, distribute, send or supply materials that are available in the Community and owned by other parties. If the User creates a link to the Community, it shall open in its own separate window, i.e. not in a so-called frame.
The User commits to adhere to the terms of use of the Community, separately defined by the Community Provider.
The original owner retains the copyright of the pictures the User has sent to the Community. However, the Community Provider is entitled to modify, copy and publish, without a separate fee, all the material that the User has provided to be available in the Community. This does not apply to secret information or confidential private messages.
The User shall remember to change their password often enough. The used password shall be such that it will not be easily figured out. The user ID and password are personal, and it is forbidden to provide them to a third party. Only one user account per person is allowed. The User shall be responsible for all the material (pictures, comments, etc.) added to the Community using their user account. The User shall also be responsible for procuring the rights from the copyright holder of a picture to use the aforementioned picture in the Community.
3. Rights and Obligations of the Community Provider
The Community Provider reserves the right to discontinue the Community or to cancel this agreement without a prior notice. In these cases, the Community Provider may remove all the information of a User without a separate announcement.
The Community Provider shall not monitor, examine or modify private messages. Secret information and private messages shall not be relinquished to third parties, unless so obliged by the law or other provisions, or when it is necessary to prevent breaking the terms of use, or when a User is suspected to act against these terms of use or the Law.
The Community Provider is entitled to move this contract of terms of use to a third party without a separate announcement.
4. Data Security
The information transferred to the Community shall be treated according to the Finnish Laws governing Data Security. Classified information shall be relinquished to third parties only when the law truly requires it.
When transferring the information to the Community, the User gives their consent to having the aforementioned information shown to the other users of the Web pages. The User can, if they so desire, hide their date of birth, location and their real name from other Users. Registered Users can modify their information, and completely remove the user account, if they so desire.
5. Disputes
Any and all disputes arising from this contract shall be adjudicated in Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus) in Finnish language, under the Laws of the Republic of Finland and the European Union.
